Trekking :

Walking is the best and often the only way to see the countryside. We aim to show you the culture and natural history, especially of less visited parts of the Himalayas.

Our treks are run with care for conservation. Gas Cookers are used for cooking to avoid using scarce wood. We provide porters/ pack ponies. Mountain guides, Cook, helpers. High altitude porters. All staff is insured.

On Trek:

Good quality 3 man size tents, for 2 people. The tents have a fly sheet with zip-closing porch and fitted ground sheet. Meals are outside or in a mess tent with seats and table. A toilet tent is provided.

The day starts with tea served in your tent, followed by warm water for you to wash. Breakfast is ready about 1 hour after bed tea, after you have packed your kit bag. During Breakfast the staff collect your bag and the tents and the porters. Pack ponies will set off to carry the luggage.

The early part of the day is wonderful for sunrise. Birdsong etc. One guide will be first and another tail end. The morning walk is 3 to 4 hours with plenty of time for stops, photography, bird watching. Resting, sitting to admire the view.

Lunch Stop:

A drink is served before lunch; lunch is of 2 courses, bread, vegetables, often tin meat, fish or cheese, followed by fruit and tea/coffee. Afternoon walk is a little shorter than the morning. Some days there may be packed lunch.
On arrival camp tea / coffee served. The camp site depends on water and best view points will be chosen.

Dinner is served with soup, main course and sweets followed by tea/ coffee.

After dinner you will be given your water bottle, full of boiled water for drinking. On cold nights this provides a welcome ( hot tie) in your sleeping bag.
